Welcome! We are Tom and Laura Fortman, proud owners of Cedar Creek Premium Beef. Located just outside of the small town of Avilla, Indiana, our family has been raising cattle for over 150 years! We are a 6-generation family farm and we couldn’t be prouder to be raising top-quality local beef and bringing it to your plate.
Here at Cedar Creek Premium Beef, we believe in old fashion values with high standards of care every step of the way. We source all of our calves from Kuehnert Family Farm when they are just a few days old. Kuehnert Family Farm is just down the road in Fort Wayne, Indiana. (You might have heard of their annual fall festival!) Kueherts share our beliefs in cow comfort and a high-quality product. The Kuehnert family gives them the best start, and we raise them right to give you the best beef!
From there, we focus on livestock nutrition, sustainability, and the overall health and well-being of our cattle. We raise all of the feed that is fed to the cattle on our farm. We grow all of our own corn and hay, plus they have access to grass pasture as they grow. We believe our beef is the best because of the time, effort, care, and nutrition that we provide the cattle that we raise.
All of our processing needs are fulfilled by Cedar Creek Meats in Laotto, IN. Here they specialize in custom processing and high-quality meats. Being just a short 10 minute drive from Cedar Creek Premium Beef, it truly makes our meat 100% locally born, raised and processed.
